Do you ever feel like life is too much to handle or do you find that things just don't seem to be going your way? Maybe you experience anxiety in public places, or perhaps you frequently think about stressful things and find yourself rushing around without actually accomplishing anything. You may be finding it difficult to complete your daily activities, or having trouble falling or staying asleep due to persistent worries. Or you're feeling more easily irritated, vigilant, or tense.

Whatever it is that you're going through, you're beginning to see the impact in every aspect of your life. You’re starting to notice you are now…

  • Overthinking even the smallest things at work.

  • Struggling with feeling easily bothered or taking your frustration out on your loved ones.

  • Feeling panicky and like the walls are closing in on you in social situations.

You deserve to feel heard and understood in a safe space without judgment.

My hope in our work together is to help you feel more empowered, give you practical tools to manage the anxiety and stress sensations, increase your self-confidence, become more assertive with your boundaries, and increase your self-care. I will do this by cheering you on as I walk alongside you in the process, so you don’t feel alone.

Anxiety and stress therapy can help you with…

  • Overcoming negative worry loops.

  • Understanding your triggers, symptoms, and responses.

  • Learning how to retrain your brain to engage in different thinking and behavioral patterns.

  • Creating coping strategies to help self-regulate body sensations.

  • Identifying your unique plan to incorporate more self-care and relaxation practices.

It may feel impossible now, but you can feel more relaxed and can learn to manage your life with ease. I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. I believe that by learning, practicing, and utilizing some practical tools, you can regain a sense of control over your life again.

Fitzpatrick Therapy helps you do 3 things:

  • We’ll spend the first few sessions talking about your past experiences and present struggles to understand what has led you to this point in your life. From there, we’ll discuss what you hope to take away from our work together. This is important to identify your desired goals.

  • Over the course of therapy, we’ll uncover and challenge the triggering people, places and things that you are identifying the tipping points in feeling stressed out, overwhelmed and anxious. We’ll work on developing and practicing new ways to cope with these triggers and those life stressors that are beyond your control. You’ll have a clearer sense of helpful practices that calm and relax you as well as increasing your support system around you to help maintain this new found peacefulness.

  • When you’ve achieved all your desired goals and you feel ready, you’ll be able to feel armed with the right tools. Tools to take on life with a new perspective. Tools to self-regulate and ground yourself.

questions you may have

  • Anxiety involves feelings of fear, constant worries, and panic. Symptoms and sensations may involve a racing heartbeat, sweaty palms, dizziness, racing thoughts, muscle tension, difficulty concentrating, appetite changes, and sleep issues. There are also different types of anxiety disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, and Phobias to name a few.

  • I work best with individuals who are ready to do a deep dive into the healing process. I encourage practicing modality techniques, coping tools, and role play during the session and encourage homework assignments outside of the session for follow-up during the next session with me.

If you are serious about committing to your scheduled sessions and putting in the necessary work to bring about actual change, I am the perfect fit for you.

  • Each person I meet with is a unique individual; therefore, I strive to provide personalized care. My goal is to have you meet your personal goals and thrive in your life in the most reasonable and achievable timeframe possible.

I typically determine, along with my client’s collaboration, the best course of action to meet your unique goals together following our initial session. However, session frequency averages about once a week to biweekly.

Even though I strive to help my clients achieve their immediate goals as soon as possible, I am also available for clients who would like a long-term therapeutic relationship as well. The amount of time for long-term therapy depends on the level of support you’re looking for and how deep you want to go in therapy.

Please note for long-term therapy, self-pay clients are most likely to receive, as insurance companies may limit or not approve longer lengths of time.

  • We’ll chat for a free 15-minute call to make sure all your questions are answered. During this call, you’ll share what you’re hoping to get out of our work together to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Lastly, I’ll share with you the next steps to getting started.
