  • Self-pay means that you won't be using insurance for your sessions. There are several benefits to self-pay when it comes to counseling services. By operating independently from insurance providers, I can offer more flexibility and independence in your treatment plan, allowing you to have more control over the frequency and duration of your appointments according to your specific needs. Self-pay also allows us to work in the most supportive way possible without being restricted by insurance around the location, length, or modality of our work, and we can focus on your needs without being limited by a specific diagnosis. Diagnosing is required when using insurance, but with self-pay, we don't have to worry about that. Furthermore, by not utilizing insurance, you have the freedom of not having your behavioral information including diagnosis information submitted to your insurance company for record keeping. Also, by not having your insurance involved in your mental health care, you don’t run the risk of having your information stored by third-party companies.

  • Fitzpatrick Therapy has a cancellation policy that requires at least 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. If you fail to show up for an appointment or fail to provide a 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full per-session fee. This fee won't be covered by insurance benefits and must be paid by the client out-of-pocket.
